  3. TERTIARY CURVES

  5. Additional curves beyond the secondary 
  6. curve may be used.  The next curve is 
  7. often called the tertiary curve and has a
  8. radius called the tertiary curve radius
  9. (TCR) or second back peripheral optic
  10. radius (BPOR ).  It is longer than the 
  11. secondary curve radius.

  13. Sometimes more than 2 peripheral 
  14. curves are used.  Ones beyond the 
  15. tertiary curve are often numbered, such
  16. as 4th, 5th, etc.

  18. The outermost curve (often the tertiary curve) may be very narrow, for example 0.1 mm or 0.2 mm wide.  When this outermost curve is narrow and has a long radius (11.0 mm or greater) it is often referred to as a bevel.
